Ask me anything

there was a time before we were born.
I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (ā€œI’m not a big one for paying complimentsā€¦ā€), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself. For a moment life suddenly feels lighter, a bit more Gene Kelly dancing in the rain.

can we talk about Legolas in the back tho

I feel like I need to rewatch the entire series just focusing on Legolas.

It’s worth it.

Did Orlando Bloom spend the entirety of the series trolling with his facial expressions?

“I don’t like honors. I’m appreciated for the work that I did, and for people who appreciate it, and I notice that other physicists use my work. I don’t need anything else. I don’t think there’s any sense to anything else. I don’t see that it makes any point that someone in the Swedish Academy decides that this work is noble enough to receive a prize. I’ve already got the prize. The prize is the pleasure of finding the thing out, the kick in the discovery, the observation that other people use it. Those are the real things. The honors are unreal to me. I don’t believe in honors. It bothers me, honors. Honors is epilets, honors is uniforms.”

Everton Football Club: David Moyes on leaving

fuckyeaheverton:

ā€œIt’s a great honour to be asked to be the next Manager of Manchester United. I am delighted that Sir Alex saw fit to recommend me for the job. I have great respect for everything he has done and for the Football Club.ā€

ā€œI know how hard it will be to follow the best manager ever, but the…

Let’s get this out of the way: I wish Moyes all the best and I’m gutted this is happening.

Manchester United are fucking assholes. The entire team with MAYBE the exception of Chicharito are grade A fucking assholes. Ferguson is a mouth open gum chewing fucking asshole. I won’t miss him. And now every time I say fuck that manc scum I’m going to have to add a disclosure. EXCEPT MOYES. 😐
